Tim, better known as Shmee 150, is a star ‘YouTouber’, if you didn’t know that already. What you are less likely to be aware of, is that he has been part of the GT8 Club since day-1.
The first time I met Tim was at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed in the Supercar Paddock. More precisely, right next to the ‘Diavolo Red’ GT8, the only press-car built in right-hand-drive.
It was also the first time for the GT8’s 150 perspective owners and other petrol-heads, to witness a GT8 ‘in-motion’, and to listen at its epic V8 soundtrack.
Tim’s ‘Road to GT8’, a record of 14 ‘vlogs’ on his GT8 journey, started on that day.
Throughout these episodes, Tim goes through the reasons he added the GT8 to his collection, his first GT8 drive, the specification’s choice and so much more!
More so, what comes across from watching these videos is the passion, the engagement and the emotional connection Tim built with the GT8. And that is very much the same feeling shared by fellow owners in the GT8 Club family.
So why the GT8 does that? Maybe because of its perfectly balanced and full-of-feel drive, its intoxicating V8 melody, and its jaw-dropping, carbon-fibre sculpted, shapes? Or maybe because the GT8 isn’t just a car, it is a special driving device that goes under your skin in its own, unique, way and make you smile like no others’ along the way.
